Each year, the Overland Expo team selects a motorcycle that highlights the ADV Moto lifestyle. Then the bike is outfitted with the best motorcycle gear of the year. The build will travel to all four Overland Expo events and many more before it’s placed on bringatrailer.com for auction. The highest bidder will take home their dream rig and 100% of the proceeds go to the Overland Expo Foundation Grant programs.

The Suzuki V-Strom 800DE is built for riders who want to go just about anywhere without second-guessing their bike. With its super reliable 776cc parallel twin engine, agile chassis, 8.7 inches of suspension travel, and rugged 21/17-inch spoked wheels, it’s ready to tackle everything from winding backroads to remote off-the-grid adventures. Inspired by Suzuki’s Dakar rally roots, this bike blends bold style with serious off-road chops—perfect for anyone chasing the thrill of the road less traveled.
Our build manager Dustin Nere put together a phenomenal moto for 2025.

2024 Ultimate Build
In 2024, the Ultimate Overland Motorcycle Build was a flash back to the past. The Ural Gear Up Standard was such a fun build and turned heads wherever it went.
The Ural’s on-demand two-wheel drive engages the rear driveshaft, sending power to both rear wheels and instilling confidence in even the most challenging circumstances. Moreover, the sidecar offers additional cargo space, allowing the rider to carry essential gear or bring along a friend on extended journeys. Standard is set up for both on and off-road exploration.
