2026 Ultimate Overland Vehicle Build

2026 Nissan

Frontier Pro-4X

The annual Ultimate Overland Vehicle builds gives the Overland Expo Foundation the opportunity to showcase a new vehicle that is capable of round-the-world travel or simply getting out more on the weekends. The Foundation collaborates with a build partner to put it all together and the finished vehicle travels to events around the country. After the event season is over, the vehicle will be auctioned off on Bring a Trailer with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Overland Expo Foundation.

For 2026, the Ultimate Overland Vehicle Build is a 2026 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X. Powered by a proven 310-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, the 2026 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X is built for adventure both on and off the pavement. The PRO-4X trim adds serious trail-ready capability with an electronic locking rear differential and selectable terrain modes for sand, rock, mud, and snow. Inside, drivers are treated to premium comfort and technology including heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an available 12.3-inch touchscreen. With up to 7,150 pounds of towing capacity and rugged styling throughout, the Frontier PRO-4X strikes a balance between everyday practicality and backcountry capability.

M1L Lightweight Camper

TUNE

The Tune M1L is an ultra-lightweight, hard-side pop-up truck camper built for overlanders who want maximum capability without sacrificing payload, fuel economy, or off-road performance. Starting at just 350 pounds, the M1L features an all-aluminum frame and shell construction, a queen-size north-south sleeping platform, panoramic canopy windows, and Tune’s signature modular T-track system for endless customization. Designed to fit a wide range of midsize and full-size trucks, the M1L offers up to 6’10” of interior standing room, rugged weather protection, and a compact low-profile design that’s ideal for backcountry travel, daily driving, and garage storage alike.
